Tractor Beam is a band of Boise veteran musicians out to have some musical adventures. Our sound is the result of multiple musical influences. Run it all through a blender and serve it up with picante chili sauce. Individually, the band members have played supporting roles in Boise musical growth over the years in various bands. Tractor Beam now comes together with a common mission to play original music as well as select covers of songs they love for people who enjoy authentic music delivered with passion and a spirit of adventure. Mike Young is a Boise singer songwriter, who plays guitar and mandolin. Heavily influenced by rhythm and blues, Mike is equally at home playing bluegrass mandolin or rockabilly electric guitar. Mike has been writing original songs for over twenty years and provides all the original songs performed by Tractor Beam.
